After spending more than a decade honing her craft as a singer, songwriter and musical theater actress, Terrell found herself at a crossroads when she was suddenly laid-off during the housing crisis. Tenin began writing and recording music in the corner of her mother's dining room, and within one year of taking the leap of faith, they'd successfully converted a part-time project into a debut album, major network television appearances, music licensing deals, and production relationships with top cable networks such as WEtv and Lifetime. As a singer-songwriter, Tenin's iconic lyrics and soulful vocals flow where the gospel, acoustic, jazz and genres meet. She released her self-titled debut album in 2011 and it showcased an empowering take on inspirational music with power ballads "Diamond" and "I Deserve More". |
