Known as the advisor you need in your business and life; she is adept at pinpointing purpose, identifying ways to connect passion to profit, then assembling and amplifying.
After spending more than a decade honing her craft as a singer, songwriter and musical theater actress, Terrell found herself at a crossroads when she was suddenly laid-off from during the housing crisis. Instead of pursuing another role, Tenin and her family decided to act on their belief in their God-given talents and banded together to launch a family music company. Tenin began writing and recording music in the corner of her mother's dining room, and within one year of taking the leap of faith, they'd successfully converted a part-time project into a debut album, major network television appearances, music licensing deals, and production relationships with top cable networks such as WEtv and Lifetime.
As a singer-songwriter, Tenin's iconic lyrics and soulful vocals flow where the gospel, acoustic, jazz and genres meet. She released her self-titled debut album in 2011 and it showcased an empowering take on inspirational music with power ballads "Diamond" and "I Deserve More". Reviews from Music Connection and Hypetree magazines hailed, "Tenin channels the likes of Erykah Badu and Lauryn Hill to form a new chapter in hip-hop’s history of conscious female singers with the pipes to back up their girl power swagger."
In business she's a 3-time entrepreneur who specializes in helping emerging entrepreneurs and established business owners build their businesses, brands and big ideas from the ground up. As the CEO and Founder of Fashion Works and CMO2Go, Tenin's keen business sense, charismatic personality and caring approach helps everyday entrepreneurs connect their passion to profit in a real way. Whether through her top-rated resources, immersive programs or fast-growing franchise, she offers insight into proven marketing strategies and business principles that can catapult clients into the spotlight.
Suffice it to say, Tenin is multi-talented. She performed at the 60th annual Grammy awards with Sam Smith, and previously appeared on FOX, TLC and Oxygen networks in hit reality series American Idol and Jersey Couture. She's also performed over two-dozen lead roles in mainstage musicals such as All Shook Up, Ragtime and Smokey Joe's Cafe. Tenin's God-given abilities have also paved the way to musical collaborations of all genres, including songwriting sessions with members of the Fugees, former girl group Danity Kane, new artists signed to Akon's Konvict Entertainment imprint and many others.
Tenin is a relatable and uplifting leader who uses all aspects of her platform to encourage and empower. Members of her audience often remark on how transparent, humorous, practical and motivating her approach to both business and life is.
