The ArtistAs a singer-songwriter, Tenin's iconic lyrics and soulful vocals flow where the gospel, R&B, and acoustic genres meet. Her 2011 self-titled debut album showcases an empowering take on inspirational music with power ballads "Diamond" and "I Deserve More".
Tenin began by first writing and recording music in the corner of her mother's dining room, but soon banded together with her family to fully fund and release the project on her family-owned media imprint. In a year's time, the album debuted with multiple national television appearances, a music licensing contract, and production relationships with WEtv and Lifetime networks. Tenin's God-given talents have paved the way to musical collaborations of all genres, including songwriting for members of the Fugees, Danity Kane, TLC, BoA, new artists signed to Akon's Konvict Entertainment and others. She performed at the 60th annual Grammy awards with Sam Smith, and has appeared on FOX, TLC and Oxygen networks in hit series American Idol and Jersey Couture. Tenin has also held over two-dozen lead roles in mainstage musicals. |
